Sequus is a cutting-edge technology research company specializing in construction AI that was founded in 2020, recognising the need for a more efficient and effective way to manage construction projects. The team had seen firsthand how traditional construction management practices often resulted in delays, cost overruns, and a lack of transparency between stakeholders.
With this in mind, the founder set out to research how to train neural networks to read construction drawings in order to create an AI-powered platform that will revolutionise the construction industry. A team of engineers, data scientists, and construction professionals were bought together to develop a system of neural networks that could identify different elements on a construction plan and leverage that to streamline document management, estimation, project management, optimise resource allocation, and provide real-time insights into project progress.
